| | | Quick Bio: | Hilary Duff grew up in Texas, where she learned to dream big. Her parents, Bob and Susan Duff, encouraged their daughters Haylie and Hilary to take acting classes and perform in public. Hilary Duff went from ballet lessons at age six to dancing the “Nutcracker” with her sister in a regional dance company shortly thereafter. As the girls’ talent grew ever more obvious, the family moved to California to expand the opportunities for their girls. Hilary dropped out of school in the fourth grade to pursue her acting ambitions full-time. Hilary rose to TV and movie stardom in the Lizzie McGuire series for Disney. Her other movie roles have included playing a member of Steve Martin’s family in the “Cheaper By the Dozen” series (critics panned the sequel, for which Hilary received a “Razzie” nomination as worst actress of the year), and playing the lead in “A Cinderella Story” (2004). Although Hilary has played her share of “ditzy blond” roles, it would be hard to say that she neglected her education off-screen. Hilary worked hard every day with a tutor on the film set to pursue her studies. During her career as a teenage film star, Hilary traveled all over the world, enjoying the simple pleasures of pizza eating in Rome and hobnobbing with talk show hosts all over North America and Europe. As a 16-year old, Hilary Duff came into her own as a platinum-selling pop idol. This ambitious blonde diva now has her eyes set on conquering the fashion world. The enterprising Duff has launched her own clothing label, Stuff by Duff, and her own Elizabeth Arden fragrance brand, “With Love Hilary Duff.” Hilary wants all her fans to become millionaires, and will herself undoubtedly become a billionaire while teaching them her moneymaking tips.
